Belly dancing is about accepting and loving who you are. Everyone can enjoy belly dancing!

Belly dancing will do a lot for your physical and mental health. Women will discover the beauty and power of their bodies. It can be excellent for women who are looking for a fun yet effective method of exercise.

It is a great workout: it tones your muscles, improves your posture, strengthens the lower back and mobilizes the abdominal and pelvic regions. It is great way to relieve menstrual problems, PMS and has been shown to be very useful during pregnancy and childbirth.

In addition to all these benefits, it has also been proven that belly dancing helps your digestion, increases balance, circulation and relieves stress.

Belly Dance classes give women the opportunity of self discovery and to develop creatively. Lessons are designed not only to stretch and exercise the body but also to cultivate and express who you are.

Class Term Dates 2020

  • Term 1 – Monday 3rd February- Wednesday 8th April
  • Term 2 – Monday 27th April- Sunday 5th July
  • Term 3 – Monday 20th July- Sunday 27th September
  • Term 4 – Monday 12th October- Sunday 20th December

We have 6 different belly dance classes each week, catering to all levels. It is $22 for a casual class, $98 for 5 classes, or $170 for 10 classes. Please remember, if you buy a pass for a certain class time and miss a class, or you’d like to change classes, you can always use your pass for other classes. We cater to all needs, but you must use your pass only in the term you bought it.

All classes are held in our large air-conditioned dance studio at Ameras Palace – Level 2,314-316 Marrickville Rd, Marrickville.

Class Pass Terms and Conditions:

1 – Due to our 10-week course structure, we cannot offer you an individual make-up class, nor credit for any missed classes. However, you are welcome to catch up by coming along to classes at other times. You don’t need to book in advance, just drop in. Please note that the classes you buy are only valid for that current term. You cannot transfer classes to the next term.

2 – We have many beautiful students from different cultures and backgrounds. As we value your privacy, we don’t allow taking photos or videos during class, unless you are rehearsing a routine and your teacher allows you to record her doing it. Any videos recorded of your teacher during a rehearsal are to be seen strictly by the student who attends class and they can’t be published under any circumstances.

3 – Dance classes can involve risk of personal injury. While your teacher takes all reasonable care in the conduct of its classes; it accepts no responsibility for injury or loss caused during classes or whilst participants are at or near the dance studio. You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit for the class and during the class you must at all times take care of your own personal safety.

4 – Usually the classes are busy, but should there be only one participant the class shall be run as an intense half hour private lesson. Classes with 2 or 3 attendees will run for intense 45 minutes.
